Lakeview Athletic Department
(Sport Participation Fee Program)

The Board of Education and the Administration recognize the value of participation in activities beyond the classroom. It is our hope that the sport participation fees will be a temporary part of our attempt to continue to offer the quality and variety of programs which we have become accustomed to in Lakeview. Please read the following carefully.


General Guidelines

All families with middle or high school students participating in athletics will pay a participation fee for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

Middle School students* - $75.00 per student, (unlimited sports)

High School students* - $100.00 per student per sport season.

* There is a maximum of $200.00 per student or $400.00 per family.

Full payment and a completed Sport Participation Fee Agreement Form (click here for form) must be sent to (and received by) the Athletic Director at Lakeview High School prior to the designated deadline date for each sport.

Athletes cannot receive equipment or participate in tryouts until the fee is paid in full. All fees must be paid to the athletic department. Coaches ARE NOT responsible for collecting money.

Refunds will be given for the following reasons only: a.) A full refund will be given if the sport is canceled due to insufficient number of athletes. b.) A full refund will be given to any student who does not make a team after tryouts. c.) A partial refund will be given to an athlete, who during the first half of the sport season, becomes ill or injured     and cannot complete the season (doctor’s verification required). Refunds shall be pro-rated.

Parents requesting a refund must do so in writing to the Athletic Department no later than two weeks after the tryout process has been completed. No refunds will be given after this period.

Payment of the Sport Participation Fee DOES NOT imply any privileges beyond membership of the team. For example, no athlete is guaranteed an equal or certain amount of playing time. Decisions in this regard are those of the coach and shall not be challenged.

Families on our free and/or reduced lunch program will be responsible for half of their sports fees.
