Prior to coming to Lakeview Local Schools in 2019, I served as Superintendent at Brookfield Local Schools. Before joining the cadre of Trumbull County superintendents in 2016, I worked as both high school and middle school principal in Brookfield, as a middle school principal in Canfield, as an Educational Service Center instructional consultant for Mahoning County school districts, and as a high school English teacher in Brookfield. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Education degree at Youngstown State University in 1979, a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching and Learning at Nova Southeastern University in 2003, and a Master of Science Degree in Education at Youngstown State University in 2003. I also participated in the National Writing Project at Kent State University in 1994. As a first generation college graduate, I have long valued education and cherish the promise our students hold to make our world a better place.

I have been fortunate to work for the Lakeview Local School District since 2013, serving as the District’s Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer.  I have earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.  Prior to joining the Lakeview team, I was a financial auditor for the State of Ohio Auditor’s office for 13 years.  I have three children in the Lakeview Local School District, one in the class of 2032 and two in the class of 2033. It is my goal to manage the District’s financial resources so that we can provide the best possible education for all of our students. I have worked in the Lakeview Local School District for 20 plus years serving as a teacher, coach, Assistant Principal, and currently as head Principal of the high school. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Youngstown State University and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Principal's License in Administration from Ashland University. I have worked in the Lakeview Local School District since 2005 and have been serving as the LHS Assistant Principal since 2015. In my career at Lakeview, I have also taught high school mathematics, worked as the district's Athletic Director, and served as the middle school's Dean of Students. In addition, I was formerly the head high school baseball coach and an assistant on the football staff. My wife, Cara, and I live here in the community and our two children attend Lakeview Local Schools.

I was born and raised in Trumbull County.  I am a proud 2002 graduate of the Lakeview Local School System. In 2006 I graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education K-12. I graduated from Adams State College in 2010 with my MA in School Counseling and in 2014, I added an endorsement in K-12 Educational Leadership to my license. Throughout my career with Lakeview Local Schools I have served as a 6-8 Intervention Specialist, Elementary School Counselor, and Director of Federal Programs. Serving as the principal of Lakeview Middle School has been my most challenging and rewarding role yet. This position allows me to interact with hundreds of students on a daily basis and each day brings something new. Please do not hesitate to contact me throughout the school year. Before joining the Lakeview Local School District, I previously served as the Principal of Bristol Elementary School and as an Assistant Principal in the Campbell City School District. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Ohio University in 2003, a Master of Education in Reading Specialization at Kent State University in 2010, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Cincinnati in 2013. I look forward to working with students every day and doing all that I can to provide them with an excellent educational experience.

I am a proud 2007 graduate of Lakeview School District. Throughout my time at Lakeview I have served as a high school math teacher, head boys basketball coach, head girls golf coach, and an assistant baseball coach. My goal as athletic director is to see our student-athletes elevate to a new level athletically and academically. As they improve athletically, the positive results will be seen in their daily lives through increased self-esteem, confidence, leadership, competitiveness, determination, and academic success. Our coaches and staff are committed, well trained, and motivated to develop not only the athletic/activity side of our students, but the academic side as well.

I have had the pleasure to work in the Lakeview Local School District since 2007.  Initially, I served as the Elementary School Counselor before transitioning to my current position as the Student Services Supervisor in 2013.  My previous educational experience includes working as an Intervention Specialist in Bedford City School District and Weathersfield Local School District.  I earned my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Youngstown State University in Elementary Education (1-8) and Special Education (K-12).  I continued my education at Westminster College and earned a Master’s of Education Degree in School Counseling and post M. ED. licensure in School Principal (PK-12) and Pupil Services Administration. My role as a district supervisor has provided me with the unique opportunity to witness first-hand the challenges, growth, and achievements Lakeview students have made throughout their education.  I feel very fortunate to supervise an exceptional staff and to have the opportunity to work with the students and families in this outstanding community.

I started my career in Technology and Education in 1999. I hold a Bachelors and a Masters in Information Science from Kent State University. I have truly enjoyed working with teachers and students to enhance the environment for learning. I joined the Lakeview team in 2011 and have been thrilled to be a Bulldog ever since! Previously I worked 12 years at NEOMIN, an Information Technology Center, that is dedicated to technlogy support and integration for schools in Trumbull and Ashtabula counties. My husband and I have 3 children. Two of our children are Lakeview graduates and another is destined for the class of 2027!
