Our school officially opens at 7:38 each morning.
All students who do not ride the bus must enter the building using the front doors.
Students are tardy if they do not arrive by 7:45.
If a student arrives after 7:45, a parent or guardian must accompany the child into the building and sign our late arrival sheet. We need this procedure to avoid marking a student absent.
After school, students do not need to be signed out if they are not riding the bus.
If you pick up your child after school, you must pull to the east end of the driveway in the rear of the school and wait for students to be dismissed at 2:38.
Walkers and bike riders are held until the buses leave the parking lot.
Students must use the sidewalks.
Our parking lot is extremely busy after school, please be cautious.

We have various levels of detention in the building. Students are assigned to lunch detention if they do not complete classroom assignments.  If a child serves 5 lunch detentions, an after school detention will assigned.  If a students serves 10 lunch detentions during a nine week period, a Saturday detention will be assigned.

There is also an administrative detention. These are assigned through the office. This detention is held after school on Mondays and Wednesdays for one hour. Parents will be notified and will be able to choose either the next Monday or Wednesday for your child to serve. If the student fails to return the detention form the following day or does not serve the detention, a second detention will be assigned.

Students receiving multiple detentions or committing a more serious offense, a Saturday Detention will be assigned. Again, the parent is able to choose a Saturday within two weeks from the day the detention is assigned.

For the most serious offenses, a student will be suspended or recommended for expulsion. I always contact parents before this occurs. Please read the handbook for more information.

Please call the school if your child is absent. The Federal Missing Child Act requires that we document why a child is not in school. We have an answering machine so please call at any time. If your child visits the doctor, dentist or orthodontist, please ask for an excuse and present it at school when your child returns. If your child is absent 3 or more days, please request homework. Most teachers put assignments on POW PAC and teachers will supply you with this information in an informational letter that will be sent home the first week of school. All correspondence for the school office will be printed on blue paper.

Our district has begun using “One Call Now”. This is an automated call service. When this service is used, you will hear a beep then the message will begin. If you have additional phone numbers you would like added for your child, use your PAM account or contact the school office.

Please remind your children who walk or ride a bike to school to follow traffic safety rules. It is dark in the mornings so it is important that students wear reflective clothing.

Menus will not longer be sent home with students. Please visit the Cafeteria link for daily choices. The menu is posted in every classroom and is read each morning on announcements.

All school news will be relayed through One Call Now and posted on the Middle School Website.
