LMS Lately...
Our 8th grade ELA classes finished up the Outsiders with a theme day and viewing of the movie in class. Students picked whether to dress as a Greaser or a Soc, love to see the participation!
Our 6th graders have been able to share their creative abilities while accessing ELA and Science curriculum. Students designed their most memorable characters in ELA and diagramed parts of a cell in Science.
In 8th grade Health, Mrs. Gibson led an activity that promoted student to student interaction and conversation with classmates that they may not otherwise talk to. With a focus on tolerance and how to converse without a screen, the lesson led to positive peer interactions.
Mrs. Brown's students that earned a perfect score on their multiplication test got to celebrate at the Wall of 100%!
This year has brought a number of student volunteers from LHS that have been eager to help at LMS. Students have helped with Chromebook distribution, tutoring, and other classroom activities. The staff and students at LMS have enjoyed seeing these former students helping out.
