Non-Traditional / Open Enrollment
If you live outside the Lakeview Local School district but are interested in attending Lakeview Local Schools, you will need to apply differently during what is called an Open Enrollment period.
Typically, the time frame for Open Enrollment is March 1st - 31st each year.
Open enrollment is not a guaranteed option. It varies by school year. The district typically announces what grade levels may be available for Open Enrollment in mid-February with those grade levels posted on our website.
Once you apply for Open Enrollment, you will be notified by mail by the end of April.
If you live outside of our District, per the state of Ohio, you are still required to register in your "home" district even though you may not attend. Please make sure you enroll in your "home" district while waiting on your letter from our District.
For more information on Open Enrollment, feel free to contact the Superintendent's office at (330)637-8741.

The lottery drawing will take place at the end of March. You will be notified by email stating the outcome. If your child is selected, you will be given a deadline to have all the paperwork submitted by a certain date. If the paperwork is not back by the deadline, we will move on to the next child on the list.
