In honor of Earth Day on April 22, LHS students took time to "Invest in our Planet"! Science teacher Mrs. Dager-Smith planned an entire day's worth of activities. She invited all LHS classes to join her science classes to learn more about the importance of protecting the Earth. Students were able to make pledges on things they could do to invest in the planet, such as recycle or pick up trash; they made posters and participated in a campus-wide clean up. Students worked in groups, to pick up trash and recyclable items around the building, parking lot, and the stadium. One group brought in just over 3 pounds of trash! Thank you Mrs. Dager-Smith for organizing these events, and to all of the students and teachers who made the investment in our planet!
