• The Lakeview Local School District has worked diligently to respond to our parents that have voiced concerns about the impact of eliminating transportation services in the areas near our two school buildings for the 2022-23 school year. Increases in transportation costs have been significant, therefore any plans for transportation must include cost controls.
  

  At this time, we will be able to provide transportation for all of our Lakeview students. However, this will require changes to our transportation services for all students and families. These changes will include: 

  • Reducing the number of buses from 15 to 13

  • Cluster stops in neighborhoods and subdivisions throughout the district

  • Longer bus rides

  • Larger passenger loads

  • Elimination of district-funded field trip transportation

  • Elimination of the transportation supervisor position, duties reassigned to other administrators

  Additionally, the longer routes will require a change to the elementary school start and end time. Elementary student arrival will be 8:50-9:00 AM and dismissal will be 3:30 PM. 
  We are currently finalizing the new bus routes and anticipate having routes posted on this site no later than Wednesday, August 17th. 

  Please do not call the building offices with transportation related questions. Those calls should be directed to the transportation office at 330-637-8746.
